Nike kits, money for our new CB

I sort of like the fact that Trent has stuck with 66.

Feel that shirt is quite iconically his now

Is Konate a shoe in for number 5 short I wonder

Yeah, I think Konate will take 5. We don’t have to rush it, normally I think we should take more care of squad numbers. I think it be a little boost for kit sales also. If someone changes it, just do the modern refund to fans and that’s it. Big deal.

Considering this shirt isn’t being launched until tomorrow I’ve seen loadsa people wearing it.

Not sure how

I finally have a line on the collared shirt. My son claims he’s sending one today, so hopefully some time next week. Will post a photo when it’s received.

Just today in the post I received from him the white shirt that has the zig zag pattern (like the home shirt) with 3 color crew neck. No idea if the club is going to use this or not. I’ll post a photo later when I’ve finished work.

Personally, I love when players use unusual numbers to express themselves. I know that’s not traditionalist but I think it’s great. At the same time I like single digits as well. In short, I think a player should be able to wear any shirt number they want.

I think the Prem said no to Renato Sanches wearing 89 on his shirt when he was on loan at Swansea.

I’m just not sure why it makes a difference to anyone in charge what number a player wants to wear.

Obviously your 7,8,9,10s can often end up being more iconic than other numbers, but would it have made any difference to anyone if Carra wore 23 or 73?

I just don’t understand the rationale.

The commercialisation of football ruled to numbers past 11 being used for starters.

I don’t particularly have a problem with it as long as we don’t go full on USA and introduce number 00 or 3 digit numbers

Disagree.

I think every Man City player should wear 101 in Champions League matches.

Ok then guys…

What’s the verdict on the new shirt “in the flesh”

Given the money making tactics involved in the marketing department now the home shirt has been launched I’d expect the away or 3rd shirt to be launched sometime over the next week.

Fuck has no one bought it then?!? So much for the Nike deal being good for the club

Or 404, for “Error Not Found.”

So seriously has anybody bought this kit then,

What’s the verdict

Saw it in the shop today, definitely looks less orange in person more a different shade of orangey-red. Still not keen. Training stuff for home kit looks like Portugal national team stuff. Not to my taste. Have couple of things from last year and was tempted by some stuff being in the sale. But think I’m more likely to buy one of the black out versions of the classic kits at the moment if I got anything.
