Arne Slot - Former Head Coach (Part 2)

I can well imagine the players were informed before it was publicly announced and the comms team asking them to give it 24 hours before saying anything on their social channels.

That break gives a chance for a touch of the heat to drop out of the story. Pretty standard comms approach and you ask someone like Virg to go first and the rest can then follow. Seems to be what’s happening now with a trickle coming out.

This is all getting silly now, with conspiracy theories about the club stage managing well wishes from players and the like.

He’s gone. We wanted him sacked, and he got sacked. There is just no need to keep scraping the barrel for evidence about how everyone else hated him as much as you did.

You train dogs, I educate players.

I think, in modern football, once it’s recognised that you’ve lost the dressing room then there is no possible comeback. Hughes et al., would have been totally negligent if they hadn’t acted upon this once the senior players canvased made this crystal clear (as I think we can assume based on socials and also behaviour/body language in last few matches)

This is somewhat sad…what a waste of money for the club…

Reports that we are also firing Diomande, Reus, and Simoao

Is this real? If so, Richard Hughes is a bit of a gimp isn’t he? Can’t he bugger off to Saudi Arabia already.

Can find any evidence of this on the Telegraph twitter, website or Dominic King’s twitter. Might just be based on an off the cuff comment/opinion.

That would be a way to save face. He hadn’t arrived just something to give to worst excesses of our fan base something to moan about.

I’m in agreement with @mascot in what seems like an age, he’s gone, he had evidently fallen out with some but some didn’t seem bothered. He moves on and we move on.

I wish him well for the title win and the adaptations he made did do it. (I remember the wailing over Zubimendi). But he has evidently for some time had no answer to solve the issues as the players looked less fit as the days passed.

His excuses at the end I’ll let him off now, he evidently knew a decision was to be made. I also think the club acted in a decent manner. Alonso chose to move to Chelsea when I said he should wait and so be it and not just us but also potentially others.

He’s a gobshite Sky puppet with too much to say, especially considering he was a very limited player.
And he spits at little girls

As I understand, we can used him the way we used Jordan Henderson.

How´s that exactly?

They don´t seem that similar.

Jordan was an engine with a good passing range over longer distances. From what I’ve read of Scott, he is more like Gravenberch but with a better passing range over shorter distances.

Physical performance coach? This season?

Probably best he leaves that title off his CV.

I like Scott a lot but I think Curtis Jones can do everything he does and at a higher level. Curtis should be one getting very excited about Iraola coming in.

Surely were done talking about Slot now?

It only leaves really an assessment of what state he leaves the club in.

It seems to me, confidence, belief and mentality have been hugely damaged, and these will need rebuilding. Could be autumn before we rediscover a groove.

We should all just feel so much better now its over, and Im not sure, deconstructing Slot any further offers any benefit.

My fingers are very much crossed that we perform a massive u-turn over CJ and keep him, madness to let him move to Italy.
