“My expectations have changed throughout the season. I expected more from us than where we are fighting from now. It’s another setback, we didn’t help ourselves with this result. There is 8 games to play, we are coming closer and closer to the end.I told them at half time that it was possible to play a bit faster side to side and if we play a bit faster at least our wingers have some time to take their full back on. I think that happened more in the 2nd half and that’s why we came closer and closer.We know how hard we have to work to score a goal because recently we are only scoring from set pieces. We find it hard to convert those chances… I saw more urgency in the second half than in the first half. First half we had a lot of ball possession but weren’t able to penetrate a lot of times in their 18 yard box. We were able to more in the second half than in the first half.

From the post match thread, Arne Slot sort of told the whole world that the side to side crap is his tactics, the inability to make more inroads into the opposition 6 yard box in the first half is down to his poorly coached training.

And seemingly doesn’t understand why his team finds it hard to scores goals in open play with 9 more games to play.

I wonder what is the board waiting for??? To absolutely drop out of top 5??
