While everyone wants to have the best players in the world, they usually are the key players for their national team. That was my concern with a lot of these lads but Mac Allister’s downturn in form coincided with the last international break, where he featured while nursing an injury. I don’t think he fully recovered, just like Trent - and it caused Trent to suffer a recurrence of his injury.
Regardless, the more I see from our side’s build-up under Slot, the more I’m convinced that he really wanted a no. 6 who is super-confident in possession. Seeing how injury-prone and fatigued some of our midfielders are, acquiring one to replace Endo would be a massive upgrade and would certainly help Slot in rotation and better execution of his tactical plan.
He’s being undervalued this season as he manages to cover up and rotate between the other two midfielders like a second nature.
Gravenberch isn’t a pure 6. Mac isn’t a pure #8. A lot of times in the second half , when Grav charges forward, Mac is there allowing the team to retain control.
Lots of praise given over to AS + JK in this. If you are a fan of LFC, listening to this guy here in our post Real Madrid win, it is 13minutes you will not regret giving over. The 5.30 - 6.00 section when Ancelotti is mentioned, is worth the time alone.
Enjoy
I enjoy the 442 analysis and Slot comes across so well in Interviews just like Jurgen, without being the same they are very much alike. If you understand what I mean.
I know some on here are not too fond of this guy… If you are fan of LFC, and fancy indulging yourself for 14mins listening to them, and AS being highly praised, well, watch away - Enjoy
“My sincere apologies for having Konate on the board and not Gomez! Had all the assets from the Madrid video and completely forgot to change him ! Adam”
Knowing you, i have posted this a a precaution, because someone will soon start to moan about it.
