Arsenal - where FA Cup dreams go to die. Innit, fam

It doesn’t seem like it can be resolved legitimately- so they’ll try and resolve it illegitimately. They’re a scumbag club with plentiful political connections to get what they want eventually.

Such small margins in football.
Arsenal inches away from going 2 down, now 2 up.

I genuinely mildly dislike southerners, especially Londoners as a whole, so fucking arrogant and up their own arses.

Going to be nice seeing these cunts falling short, AGAIN.

Sweeping generalisations. Gotta love ‘em.

Arsenal score 3 scrappy goals, more luck than judgement with potential fouls on 2 of them.

Wissa with a stupid error not clearing it and letting it run out for a corner for Arsenals 2nd.

Brentford, no penetration just playing in front of Arsenal, need players that can run at the opposition to commit them.

I hope that Saka’s absence will hurt them in terms of points but look at their team - it was a mixed midfield and attack but the first choice goalie and back four. That defensive stability will hold them in good stead, it’s probably the reason why they are competing for the title and why they are well equipped to deal with scrappy sides.

They have got two brutal encounters with Sandcastle coming up shortly… 6 points behind having played a game more than us. This a terrible burden to carry into each game -

Aww.
Toned it down a bit for you.
Luvly jubbly?

Since they were written off by most media after drawing 0-0 at home with Everton they have beaten Crystal Palace, Ipswich and Brentford - in the process they have gained 0 points on Liverpool.

All they’ve done is the minimum. Anything less than 9 points from those games would have been a disaster for them.

Exactly.

I will refrain from taking the piss as a lot can happen. But they are winning games they should. Felt Brentford’s home form might appear but maybe that’s waning.

Yes and it will be like that for as long as we don’t drop points.

Brighton vs Arsenal
Liverpool vs ManU

Forest vs Liverpool
Arsenal vs Spurs

Brentford vs Liverpool
Arsenal vs Villa

Let’s see if there’s a change of dynamics in the next 17 days.

Wouldn’t hate an actual title race, tbh. One of the main coping mechanisms oppo fans have about our 2020 title is that the rest of the league were shite and we had no real challenger. If we stay in a race all the way until later April, then the cunts can’t say we didn’t earn it. Or something. I dunno.

Yeah 9 points from our next 3 will have the Legoman doubting

Well, to praphase him, “no team in the Premier League will win all their games.”…except his Arese-nal.

Who cares what opposition fans think?

Brentford’s home form was buoyed by playing a good number of bottom table clubs there.

Real Madrid given green light to sign William Saliba from Arsenal:

Real Madrid are reportedly working on a deal to sign Arsenal defender William Saliba, with the hierarchy at the Bernabeu having been given positive signs so far in their pursuit.

Since breaking into the Arsenal first team in 2022, Saliba has gone on to become one of the best defenders in the Premier League. Indeed, the Gunners conceded just 29 goals last term, a Premier League record for the club, with Saliba leading at the back.

The Frenchman’s form hasn’t gone unnoticed, with Real Madrid now keen on spending a lot of money to sign him.

According to Spanish outlet Sport, Real Madrid have started working on bringing Saliba to the Bernabeu, having identified the Frenchman as the perfect centre-back to improve the team.

The report adds that Real Madrid have already contacted Saliba’s representatives over a possible move, with the feedback positive. It will, however, require Saliba to hand in a transfer request at Arsenal in order to force through a move to the Spanish capital.

In FourFourTwo 's opinion, it would be highly unlikely that Real Madrid would be able to sign Saliba in the January transfer window - not least because Arsenal simply wouldn’t allow it. If they return in the summer with a lucrative offer, though, the Gunners might have no option but to accept.
