Questions about whether we should have bought Isak instead of Darwin are common. But imagine Arsenal…they were linked to him and went for Jesus instead and when they didnt work out spend more money than all 4 of those other players to get Havertz and still are in the market for a new forward.

At full time Ian Wright said “You’ve got to start asking questions of the board” about their lack of a proper striker - as though Jesus and Havertz were somehow forced on Arteta rather than being the guys he specifically wanted and paid through the nose for.

Before tonight Robbie of AFTV said he expects lots of rotation for the FA Cup against ManU because they have Spurs in the league 3 days later.
I think tonight’s result puts Arteta in an awful position. 2 games without a win. Likely to be out of the League Cup. Can he afford to crash out of the FA Cup on Sunday?

We will see what happens but it does have a feeling of when Rodgers came up with that new tactic that went 7 games unbeaten only for Swansea to counter it and for it to fall apart.
It was united, wasn’t it? The game when Gerrard got that stupid red?
I remember Rodgers boasting that he stayed up all night with all his cutlery out on the table mapping out the 3-4-3 tactic, won a load of games on the spin, and then he ditched it the first time we dropped points. Classic Rodgers.
