Itās funny, when they hired Carrick, I remember seeing a few sideways glances from Gary Neville and Paul Scholes. Youād think they would have been thrilled for their former teammate, but it was obvious that neither believed that he was capable of the big job.
Heās always scratching, think it might be crabs.
Did I say Christmas?
Better make that Halloween.

Joachim Low?

Iām looking at Leny Yoro and Ayden Heavenā¦and our JJā¦and Iām thinking whoever does the scouting for Manure should be firā¦given a long term contract!!
We also wanted Yoro though. Heaven is probably a wrong comparison, given the profile of the player and transfer in the context of time.

I havenāt seen anything from him in any situation that would indicate he will be a top centre back. For example, with Leoni you could immediately see that he is class.
6 months ago it was only a matter of time before Carrick took them to #21, now they want him āto do the decent thing and resignā
Gotta love football.
In terms of (a fairly) big money outlay, Zirkzee may well be the worst player Iāve ever seen at a top club in the Prem.

His season at Bologna was lightning in a bottle. Full credit to him for taking advantage of his opportunities, but even that season he was a bit of a puzzle around how he was scoring that many goals. He does a lot of things reasonably well, but nothing exceptionally well.
Former player, comes in, galvanizes it, gets them overestimating his true abilities, receives a nice contract, reverts to his real level, disappointment ensues.
Rinse, repeat.
They should be patient with him.

They should give it to Giggsy

I havenāt heard of Giggseh for years! Whatās he doing these days?
At his family reunionā¦

They wonāt sack him, on the base of it these past results arenāt bad unless you then realise how they actually played out. If it continues he probably gets as long as Europe lasts.
However the belief he is some amazing manager bringing back the Glory days. I had doubts about that last season and have even more now.
I think he has now made a mess of his managerial career. He was putting in the work to learn the craft, and appeared to be doing reasonably well until he hit a bit of a wall at Boro. Stepping into the pressure of a big club in multiple competitions less than a year after getting the sack at Middlesborough was always going to end in tears - he has clearly learned how to fix the problems he sees from the work of other managers (exactly what led to early success at both clubs), but has not figured out the architecture part of the job.
