I have no idea what the shapes and distances are, but the idea that air pollution from vehicles and point sources can be quite localized is hardly controversial. You can see real-time data for California and see most of the range in the Greater Los Angeles area, from quite clean to approaching hazardous - with the poor air region being a thoroughly understood phenomenon in the valley to the east of downtown LA.

Worth noting that video is from a peopleās question time and the audience contained a fair few people against ULEZ (can be heard loudly cheering a Conservative members criticism of Khan and ULEZ while proclaiming Susan Hall would become Mayor of London). Wouldnāt be surprised if they were the ones laughing and if their understanding of the science involved is lacking.

I get the goals of ULEZ (aside from the blatant thievery aspect), it needs to be everywhere for it to work.

I think the key point for me is the modelled link between El Nino and extinction events. It plays a roll in killing stuff off. So while El Nino is the result of Climate change and the resultant mass extiction it contributes to it.
We had El Nino last year.

Iām going to insert a correction here. I think ENSO is supposed to be natural variation in temperatures, but the variations are now suggested to be exacerbated by climate change, resulting in more extreme swings.
El NiƱo is merely one of the phases of ENSO. La NiƱa is when the temperature contrasts are reversed.
