CJ called up for England

Speaking to a Scouser playing on a Liverpool side who are top of the league while being a new dad and sayin the words…“and an england call up most importantly.” Good job for Curtis to set her right with the priorities :joy:

Bit odd thing to say about England… considering he has just become a dad.

Silly bollocks but it’s Talkshite.

Is he injured yet?

Why is there any reports he is?

It’s just our luck with in-form players playing internationally.

Rather we stick to actual injury reports.

It was a joke MH. Pretty obvious from the fact that it was a question.
No need for alarm :slightly_smiling_face:

Good luck Curtis, you stand on that stage and show the world what you can do  Love the lad, top guy.

He’s the type of player in last years that England missed.

Not playing too deep, not playing too high. Technically able to control the ball, circulate possession (while also having the ability to do something special) calm the game down. Physically able to compete, win duels, etc.

International football is slower tempo and you cannot go full throttle all the time, not even in club football.

Between a “Rice” and a “Bellingham” (or a few of those type of #10’s or between the lines players), they missed more proper #8’s.

It’s not the first time Jones has played a bit deeper. Playing single pivot is one thing and he did that already under Klopp a few years ago.

Playing double-pivot and having a bit of freedom to pick your moments to go forward is another thing. And right now he’s a player that can complete all those tasks, from #6 to #10.

His England chance was coming for a while now and he’s been unlucky not to get it started sooner than it did. Happy for him.

Good to see there is friendship group developing amongst the likes of Cody, Gravs and Konate and Curtis.
