Daft Prick Boehly‘s Blue Billion Pound Plastic Bottlejobs

Because he won’t. He’ll sign for Chelsea, quadruple his salary and then spend the next four years on loan to clubs around Europe playong first team football. Probably resign for Benfica at 22.

and who can blame him?

the amount of 18 year old kids who nearly make every year it must form the population of a small country…

for all the “mad bantz” floating around, getting a gig at the chelsea youth set up will set a young player up for life…even if he ends up in something like the A league in Aus or similar, thats a career right there…fizzling out at benfica without making the ones isnt anything to be embarrassed about, but it wont set you up like a few years at a prem clubs academy

Oh absolutely, take the money when you get the chance - you’re one bad tackle away from losing your whole career in this game.

Plus having “Chelsea” on your resumè doesn’t hurt when looking for other clubs in future.

If you are a young player, there are worse managers to play for…

Is he, Didn’t the clubs agree to a permanent move?

My bad. You‘re right.

Hard to keep up with the amount of players they do have out on loan, which ones are gone and which are still on their books…half their loanees been on loan for the past 3-4 years.

A quick look at the senior players who, as things stand, will report back at Chelsea this summer, regardless what happens to them or if there are contract activities in the mean time.

GK: Arrizabalaga, Mendy, Bettinelli, Slonina, Baxter, Cumming

CB: Silva, Koulibaly, W. Fofana, Badiashile, Chalobah, Ampadu, Colwill, Sarr

FB/WB: James, Azpilicueta, Gusto, Chilwell, Cucurella, Hall, Maatsen, D. Sterling, Rahman

CM: Kovacic, Fernandez, Loftus-Cheek, Gallagher, Chukwuemeka, Santos, Bakayoko, Casadei

AM/WF: Mount, Havertz, R. Sterling, Ziyech, Pulisic, Mudryk, Madueke, Nkunku, Hudson-Odoi, Anjorin

ST: Lukaku, Broja, D.D. Fofana, Aubameyang

Important to note that Kante’s contract is running out, but the latest information is they’re on a good way of agreeing a new deal.

Of course, not all of them would start training with the first team, as there are some young players, but some who have been part of the first team and might still be regarded as such.

Players in the last year of their contracts:

Silva, Azpilicueta, Kovacic, Loftus-Cheek, Mount, Pulisic, Aubameyang

Remember, they have already signed a deal for Nkunku for this summer.

Yes, we can add him in the AM/WF group.

One thing about Chelsea and youth players is you’ll know you will get time just not at Chelsea

Yes. Solid player for his age. Would sign him up if possible.

Head Coach

In other words Boehly is enjoying playing Football Manager to much to give up buying and selling players

I wonder if Poch will allow Todd into the dressing room during matchdays…

I think the bigger question is will Todd allow Potch to stop him from going into the dressing room?

Might be that the managers they have spoken with, or advice they had from other clubs suggest that this is the preferred set up. Tuchel for example wanted limited responsibility on the player acquisition side. We know Klopp is of a similar mind. As long as they have assurances that players wont be sold from under them, and signings forced onto them most managers would be happy to accept that role particularly if they can input into the modelling and direct recruitment as to what they need. It’s not as if Chelsea have failed to demonstrate a willingness or capacity to spend.

Capacity to spend doesn’t always mean spending the best out there. Chelsea are such a mess these days that’s it’s hard to predict what will happen. It’s been said that Boehly has realized he can’t be the one above the manager dealing with transfers, perhaps that was always just a temporary thing. But there they are, with a too large squad and no order, a massive net spend and now it needs trimming and cleaning. So, the manager question and having the spending power are not the only thing that will matter, but just how do they create a functional squad out of this bunch.

If it is a DoF with loads of knowledge and experience I would agree, but an owner that has no previous experience in the game being the one to make signings is a totally different matter
