Chelsea are reportedly “proud” of having these contracts in place.
Interestingly, we are down to 64 years, and suspect that falls further once Phillip, Sepp, Clark (if he’s counted) leave.

Heard today that at training, they had a 58-a-side match :0)
That’s unfortunate for the other 50 who didn’t get to play.
Dafuq?!? Rumours that Chelsea has approached ManU about Sancho?!?
This has to be history’s most expensive piece of performance art now…
Daft Boehly’s Tone Deaf manager.
If you want to see just how bad Chelsea actually are, load a save on FM as the chelsea manager. It truely is a total headfuck.
You can easily sell 30 odd players and still have the players to make a full squad.
So then you would have to assume there is some kind of plan here. At least if we think of Chelsea as a rational actor then they will be probably be wanting a first team squad of…
GKs
Sanchez
Jorgenson
Bettinelli
RB
James
Gusto
CB
Tosin Adarabioyo
Levi Colwill
Benoit Badiashile
Axel Disasi
Wesley Fofana
LB
Marc Cucurella
Ben Chilwell
DM/CM
Moises Caicedo
Romeo Lavia
Enzo Fernandes
Renato Veiga
AM
Cole Palmer
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall
WF
Mykaylo Mudryk

Which would mean they’re probably going to be trying to move on, loan or sale, the following…
Djordje Petrovic (Rumoured loan to Strasbourg)
Kepa Arrizabalaga (Not training with first team)
Lucas Bergstrom (No current rumours)
Trevoh Chalobah (Villa, Newcastle and Palace interest)
Bashir Humphreys (Has had a medical at Burnley)
Carney Chukwuemeka (Rumoured loan to Palace)
Cesare Casadei (Did not go on preseason tour, Fiorentina loan rumour)
Tino Anjorin (Portsmouth want him back on loan)
Raheem Sterling (No solid links yet but seems to be leaving)
Angelo (Besiktas want on loan but Chelsea want to sell)
Romelu Lukaku (Napoli are trying to buy)
Armando Broja (Joining Ipswich on loan)
David Datro Fofana (Leicester and Galatasaray interest)
Deivid Washington (Chelsea open to loan or sale)
Zak Sturge (Chelsea open to sale or loan)
Josh Acheampong (PSG and Real Madrid interest)
Alex Matos (Lens and Strasbourg interested)
Harvey Vale (Rumoured Championship loan)
Leo Castledine (Rumoured loan to Rangers)
Zain Silcott-Duberry (Rumoured permanent move to unnamed club)
Say what you want but the Chelsea DoF must have an excellent filing system to keep track of everything.
Maybe they don’t have one and that’s why they keep accumulating players.
Didn’t he choose CFC over Arsenal?

What a shit-show…
At least the B team don’t have to train alone. Heck, they can do 7-a-side training games easily.
It’s not a mess that nearly half the squad have been banished and the manager acts like they dont even exist? I know english is not your first language, but maybe you need to rethink what the word “mess” means, Mr Maresca.
Anyway, I saw a question yesterday posed by one of the big chelsea accounts on twitter asking if there are 30 better players in the prem than Mudryk. The best response was the one that said he’s not even in the 30 best players at Chelsea.
I guess the very fact that players are still willing to move there suggests that loads of players have that mindset that they will never be the one out in the cold.
That or money.
All it takes is one unfortunate tackle and your career is over. I love the idea of backing yourself as a player, but the idea of 8+ years of guaranteed income at this level, especially for a young player, is genuinely attractive. Especially when you understand the (stereotype incoming…) upbringing lots of these players have had and what the prospect of professional football represented for them.
The resemblances to Guardiola are startling
Maresca knew what he was getting into so I don’t feel that bad for him but trying to coach a team in that absolute madhouse must be ridiculous.
Banishing half of them to train alone is honestly the only way he could possible make it manageable.
It is the often underappreciated part of not wanting a squad that is too big. Past a certain number of players (typically in the low 20s) it means you’re either giving your key players fewer reps on the drills you are doing to make sure everyone is involved, or those outside the core are made to stand around and watch a LOT.
Chelsea probably still have Lampard under contract.
Maybe they’ll pay him to coach the rejects.
Lucky to get 10m.
I openly mocked him every game when he came on
