Doing something different?

While some doubt is in existence for this ‘leap of faith’, would it be worth thinking about trading as self-employed alongside your present position, while navigating the first months/years of a new business venture.
A business name can be used as the front, bank details could just say Odim-Telamon trading as (t/a), then business name. To all and sundry, it is your business name that will be front and centre of any advertising (then Ltd can be added later on).
Could still register for VAT if you deemed this is needed at the outset, or register at some future point in the business journey. Forming a Limited Company could also come at a later date if so desired, which to me, would allow some breathing space in the early part of the venture.
Years back, people formed a Ltd Co. to offer some form of protection from disgruntled creditors suing… not sure that is the same these days, with the changes in law etc.
A free of charge consultation with a reputable accountant would point you to the right path in the early stages, for it is the nature of the business plan that would determine best plan of attack.

Kept a tight rule for the kid regarding his excessive dussehra holiday usage of the tab.

Just found it cute how he used AI to frame his response.
