Bukele has raised it before so not sure what came first, but he is a crook himself so this seems like a way to elbow his way into favour and get his share of the spoils as they are doled out.

Future administrations will have to confiscate the assets of all the tech bros and put down those involved in this administration. Once the gloves come off, the soft frat boy bros need to realise they aren’t going back on. A future admin has carte blanche to confiscate trillions in assets and execute thousands of ‘Republicans’ as enemies of the people. These people will never be safe now.

We shall see but history shows us once lines are crossed… I think South America is now probably the best analogue for what’s happening in the US - look back and see how polarisation leads to strong swings the other way. The old 2 party Dem-Rep system seems over.
