I own very few US equities. The US stock market is the most overvalued it has been since 1999. That’s mostly because of Mag 7, but the median stock is still expensive.
I sold all my EM stocks this week into the rally. Fireworks are coming.

Was just on a call with a US vendor trying to convince us to upgrade an IT service. We are in fact looking at moving to an alternative that adheres to EU data protection rules and has servers outside the US, but given that it is a 10-year relationship figured we could talk. They were utterly unprepared to deal with tariff or privacy questions, and seemed blown away that the price they were offering could be 25% higher in as soon as two weeks. On privacy, their only answer was that an order would be needed from a US court. I stifled my response, but my colleague burst out laughing.
I think a lot of export markets for services are going to get hammered.

No doubt. I don’t think Trump understands that other countries will respond to the US as they are being treated themselves by the United States.
If you decide to upgrade, do so with the provision that the contract is in Canadian dollars. Let them bear the hedging risk.

They have been incapable of thinking in anything but USD all along. The last contract I had to explain that the exchange rate was moving every day.
This time around, we want them to either eat the tariffs (at which point I suggested maybe they could ask the Mexicans to pay for it) or a right to cancel in 30 days.
Closing in on down 600 on the day. Dammit.
