I thought Trump was a bit remiss in the commonsense dept,but it is far worse than that.
He looks like he is trying to start as many wars as he can,in the shortest time.
Moving the US troops to Hungary ,why not just relocate them to Moscow,seems much the same thing.They were there to keep the lid on Germany after the war,hard to see why the need to be in Hungary,does he think Orban might rebel against Putin…not likely.
He could always do something bizarre like bringing them home,but that would be too bizarre for the most bizarre President.
Or use them to invade Greenland,Panama or even Canada.
The US have a tiger by the tail!

This is a really good piece by Gertz outlining the path of the American right on their growing support for Putin/Russia.
He puts the origin of it as an issue of domestic politics of trying to present a contrast that portrayed Obama as weak. In that light it is difficult to see as anything other than oppositional defiant disorder in embracing whomever it is the left dislike
