Oh, I want to see Ford’s rebuttal on that one.
Again I’ll ask. Who are these people?
I took all my own food/booze to the states on the weekend to check on my place. filled up with cheap gas and that was it.
Of course. Cancel culture only happens to “bad” people. The thousands of others to whom this has happened are all evil too.
ITM Democrats and the left feel comfortable expressing opinions, conservatives don’t.
And Democrats wonder why they are so unpopular

How dare you question him!
IT’S CANCEL CULTURE THAT’S WHAT IT IS YOU WOKE DEI TRANSGENDER ELITE
You’ll hear nothing back.
The answer is humanities professors at universities. Their work, that is almost sure to be misrepresented by main stream press presenting as an example as woke gone crazy, is supposedly why Dems have lost touch. You know, two things that have the same relationship as me needing to apologize for Virgil defending like an idiot on their second goal yesterday
Weird. Quoting far right media as an example far left “wokism”
Another disastrous poll came out for the Democrats this weekend, this time from NBC. The Democratic Party is a party led by geriatric leaders whom nobody wants, with policies written by 28 year-old woke activists that everybody hates.
Yet their policies are actually more popular than the alternatives when they are put to blind taste tests. It’s almost like people dont actually know much about the politics they share their opinions about and come to their positions on who they like and who they dont based primarily on other, typically pretty disconnected, stuff.
That said, I think one unsurprising factor of plummeting polling is the media coverage of their inability to figure out what to do to successfully counteract Trump, which is ironically driven by the media coverage of them.
I don’t think the media is particularly central to that decline. Left Democrats are furious over the Senate rolling over for Trump’s budget process, centrist Democrats are furious with the left wing for being ‘out of touch extremists’. Non-Democrats looking for some sort of counterbalance have difficulty seeing anything to respect.
Media portrayal leading to this situation aside, I meant more in the sense that the various parts of the party are all just positioning themselves towards what they believe will play best in the media for effective resistance (or whatever goals they have), and these beliefs are affecting their actions (of course with their prior beliefs exerting an influence on this).
That is a fairly mediocre study, because there is no trade-weighting. If the US has a zero tariff on lead zeppelins, and a 100% tariff on automobiles, the MFN average is 50%. It also does not consider existing 0% tariff agreements, such as between Canada, USA, and Mexico, which until recently covered a huge percentage of trade.
Notably, even by that measure, the US comes in higher on tariffs than either Australia or Canada. The argument then turns on how non-tariff barriers are valued, which is both methodologically difficult and fraught with the obvious complication that it includes regulations - for matters such as food safety. If the analysis then doubles down on the failure to trade-weight, it really isn’t worth a great deal.
Simple case in point - Canada imports more dairy from the United States than it exports to the United States, by value. All of that comes in at zero tariffs. Some classes of product cannot be imported, and there is a step-tariff that functions based on a quota. Failing to include trade-weighting makes the dairy industry (which admittedly is a regulatory mess) worth the same as the energy industry when coming to these conclusions.
Perhaps X is not the best research format for this?
An administration for the idiots by the idiots
This sounds like mental torture! This should be illegal! Not sure if it was the Serbian officials or the US embassy officials who did this.
Oh, how the 00s were a better time, when the left werent so extreme that they demonized someone just for suggesting Europe would be better today if Germany had won the war.
