- 54% of adults have a literacy below a 6th-grade level (20% are below 5th-grade level).
This is a serious failing of the US government for generations failing to crasp the significance of ensuring the population be educated. Or maybe this has been the plan all along, to ensure the dumbing down of enough of the population that they donât know what is happening until it is too late

Statistics like this in the US are typically driven by how drastically different life is in the US for the haves vs have nots. When you see statistics like this it is less about the elites wanting a compliant dumb population, but more how big a population in some regions simply dont have schools and the powers that be simply not giving a shit.

Iran has changed their language and seems very willing to talk, from what I have noticed. Iran is afraid of Trump. But what it means in practice and how much Iran is willing to concede, I donât know.

It would appear that a good deal of the money taken out of US Treasury bonds in the past month has been flowing into German government bonds. After rising steadily for three months, the yields have been pushing downward despite Germanyâs declared intention to issue more to fund increased spending - now down to the range they were a year ago.
Meanwhile, Trump is starting to channel Truss, secure in his knowledge that with a four year term he is guaranteed to outlast a head of lettuce.
