The April jobs report is out and is somewhat positive. Trump, despite referring to this as a the Biden economy multiple times only this week, is of course taking credit for his economy now.
Look a bit deeper and you see two interesting things. Warehousing and delivery were up month to month. This likely is explained by short term moves to help manage a mad dash to get shit imported and delivered prior to the worst of the tariffs kicking in. Secondly, manufacturing is down, seemingly in response to the inputs needed to manufacture things in our existing plants now being more expensive.

One of the new depths being plumbed - small beer in the grand scheme of all that is currently wrong in the MAGA world - is seeing top level American politicians name check other countries and chastise them. Iâm talking about powerful countries that would consider themselves solid allies in normal times.
The likes of JD Vance and now Marco Rubio speak in such an uncouth and undiplomatic manner. It is part of the wider coarsening of political dialogue weâve seen Trump usher in.
I wish world leaders had the backbone to speak out about America in forthright terms. They could even put it in terms that come across like we are speaking to a friend who has lost his way.

Wasnât a ruling by the Constitutional Court, it was the Verfassungsschutz (Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution - the âspy agencyâ Rubio is talking about) new classication after going through tons of evidence and doing a 1000 page report on it - itâs also already been phase 3 of a whole long process. This type of stuff is exactly their job, thatâs what this agency is there for, that whole protecting the constitution thing. Interestingly the US seemed to think this is all a good idea as they basically founded that agency and ran it for the first years. Apparently thatâs a fundamental problem in our system now?
And of course the AfD can go to court, like theyâve already said, and challenge that.

They are not supposed to do that internally. MAGA believes they do though.
CIA is for external enemies and states, it is illegal for them to spy internally on own citizens. Internally, the US has other secret police institutions.
I think you are thinking about an agency such as the FBI etc.

Great , Ukraine gets to have the F16âs which are in progress of being phased out.
Almost all heavy weapons Ukraine gets by the West are in the process of getting phased out. This support package, which was held back, is essential to keep those planes flying. .
