I am extremely skeptical of what Trump will do, when Ru inevitably sends a mid or low level delegation (because Putin will not deign to lower himself into appearing). How it results in “peace” is beyond me.
Current Ru delegation reveals that it is at most, technical:
GRU chief Kostyukov is heading to Istanbul tomorrow with the Russian delegation, according to Kremlin media. He’s under US, EU, and UK sanctions for involvement in US election interference (2016), the Skripal poisoning (2018), cyberattacks, and planning the annexation of Crimea.

It’s really fucking tempting to post something that the Head of the Ru Delegation to the US constructed disaster meeting in Istanbul has said publically. Unfortunately, it has no relevance.
