As a South Carolinian, this was a real shock.
The Dems in SC have nominated a formidable woman, Dr. Annie Andrews to take on, who they thought would be Lindsey. Now the gop in SC will have to scramble to come up with a worthy candidate just a few months before the election. Couldn’t be happier me.
If things keep going this way, and a reporter with a set of balls finds out the truth about McConnell, Dems may take majority in Senate before the end of the month!

You can go to lightning.ai and install an instance of stable diffusion Software. Lightning.ai has a free tier which gives you enough to play around with and pretty lax on censorship as well.
Also I dont know if anyone has seen it, but there is now footage that has leaked of the paramedics carrying a body out of McConnell’s home to the ambulance. That body was absolutely not one that the paramedics were concerned about having to keep alive after a heart attack. Either there was a second body that came out of that property that no one has reported on, or Mitch died before he even got to the ambulance

Yes, a man who used his considerable power to hurt people and make the world a worse place. And acted morally indignant about about everything anyone else did. The worst sort of person. The sort who makes it genuinely hard to honor the mantra that if you have nothing nice to say about someone to keep quiet.

The NYT ran a piece earlier from a young Mexican woman who has lived in the US legally since she was 4 months old but has now had to move back to mexico by herself, without any of her family, after running out of immigration options.
Her father is an engineer took a job in the US when she was 4 months old. She and her mum came in legally as dependents on the dad’s work visa. Had the dad been able to become a permanent resident (green card) at any time since that would automatically apply to those dependents as well, but that pathway is so backed up that 20 years later he is still here, legally, on his original temporary visa status. The problem with that is that dependent children age out at 21. She then had to pursue legal options of her own to legally stay in the only country she has ever known to remain her legally, but has come up short. Her only options at that point were to stay and go into the shadows of move to a country she has never lived in and leave her family behind, including her 2 US citizen younger siblings who were born in the US.
The point of the piece is to illustrate how broken the legal pathway is even for people who were invited here, have done everything correctly and are productive members of society. Yet MAGAts have responded to it by misunderstanding every fact of the case summer up in this exchange

These people dont care to learn anything about the system works or about the experiences law abiding people have trying to navigate it. It is really important to understand that they dont care about actual issues of law, but that when they use the word illegal they just mean brown and undesirable (to them)

The thing about his interior decorating…it looks like shit.
I get design is subjective and all that, but I think you can objectively say everything he has asked for has made the physical space appear worse. It’s so cluttered and chaotic, but without the grandeur/gravitas of the old money aristocracy aesthetic he clearly wants to convey.
Everything just looks like C-3PO spunked on the wall.
