The draw for the semi-finals is on in about 15 minutes.
Semi-final draws don’t take long obviously. Once two balls come out you know the draw.

Reports say Karius. Battle tested in UCL final. Hope it goes well for him, if true.
If he makes it I do hope he wins it, don’t like eithier side but after everything that’s happened it would be nice to be remembered for coming back.
I never rated him in the slightest from when I saw him drop catches in the warm up (Big worry, even I don’t drop them as often as he did), but this is a chance for some form of redemption.
Depends what Newcastle want, but playing a guy who has played 3 U23 games in 3 years, Karius has in that time had a good spell in Turkey only really harmed by the fact of wages.
Jamie Redknapp’s assertion that you must start a guy who moved to Newcastle and played 3 U23 games in 3 years at the peak of his career after being a starter down in L1 and L2 says something.
Don’t blame the guy for getting a pension fund but beyond being his club I’m not sure what he was expecting considering they’ve had about 4 goalies on their books for years.

Can’t imagine the United fans giving Karius an easy ride and I can’t see him being able to shut them out. Would take a big character to walk out in front of that without fucking up somewhere, regardless of ability.

I’d trust him there rather than away from home. At least he is used to it. I would assume the other guy hasn’t played in a bigger crowd than 15k. Also Man Utd fans seem to be showing their entitlement if Newcastle went ahead they’d probably just start moaning.
I thought I heard Gillespie had a few starts in the league cup, went to pens, possibly vs Newport? Could be wrong.
