Like top 7.
Few years ago there was lots of talk about having an overseas round of games in the Premier League to improve or expand the market. Considering how the League Cup has become an itch in the asses of the big clubs, maybe the FA can do an experiment with it.
Make the League Cup an overseas, preseason tournament. Limit it within 16 clubs from League 2, League 1 (2 each), Championship (6) and Premier League (6, 7the to 12th). It will be a single-leg knockout competition.
Multiple, neighbouring countries (Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia) can host the tournament.
Itās a football league tournament, the FA wouldnāt have a say in it, Iād merge it with the EFL trophy, Iād probably still give it a Europa League spot but if a big club wanted to stick its U23s in so be it.
Ademola Lookman straight into the Fulham matchday squad. They only signed him yesterday. Seems he couldnāt even have trained with them yet. Guess they are looking for an immediate impact from him.
Hereās what he said about Scott Parker: āHeās young and hungry and Iām young and hungry as well so itās a good match.ā
Maybe donāt get too attached to Scott Parker?
Maybe they should appoint Lookman as their manager.
Heās on loan. Itās perfect!
Draw in full
Stoke v Spurs
Brentford v Newcastle
Arsenal v Man City
Everton v Man Utd
Nice, at least we will have the chance to lol at someone.
Wait they need to redraw thatā¦
Man City should have got Stoke. Actually donāt Arsenal have a good record against Man City under Arteta, they technically do against us but ironically weāve handed them one win and draw the other two cup type games.
I donāt care who you are, youāve gotta enjoy Ole having his pants pulled down by Carlo.
To be fair Everton are decent bet, Carlo is willing to play his first team, the draw isnāt kind for Man City and you would feel they could give the rest a game.
Wishing for a Everton vs. Arsenal final.
The final has been moved to a later date, in April.
This clearly benefits Manchester City; theyāll be out of Europe by then.
Still one group of people still believe Johnson then.
It would be a bit entertaining if Arsenal beat City today and then later, got beat by Chelsea on Boxing Day. Rollercoaster football is entertaining if you watch it from the outside.
No way. Not only even Sheffield are now odds-on favorite to beat this Arsenal side, City takes the Energy Drink Cup way too seriously.
Yeah, well I donāt expect it to happen. But it could. Actually, cup games are often the kind of games that teams struggling in the league sometimes win, then later get brought down to reality in the league. Not a big chance of it happening, but itās probably a 10% chance of an Arsenal victory today, bit bigger chance for a draw, and a major chance for a City win.
Anyway, weāll see.
Donāt care about the Cup but games in midweek might mean our rivals could struggle at the weekend.
WBA isnāt playing though. But yeah, wouldnāt mind Everton and United kicking the shit out of each other.
Might also help Leicester come Boxing Day.
