Interesting that, in a supposedly second-rate trophy that nobody takes seriously, the last eight are all Premier League sides.
I would hazard a guess that the big clubs take the tournament more seriously than know-nothing imbeciles on the internet do.

By the people paying him silly wages which he seems to have had most of his playing career. Heās still getting into teams that are considered top 6 in one of the best leagues in the world. I just donāt understand how. I dont follow him but whenever i see him heās missing sitters like itās his job

Yeah I get what you mean but heās frozen out the national side for 2 years now, Leipzig have happily sent him on loan and want to offload him for 8m, thatās pretty damning for a guy thatās had 50+ caps for Germany.

I get what youāre saying, to me though he just looks like he doesnāt belong in a top league let alone a top team in a top league. Perhaps i just dont see enough of him but heās never looked good, not even when Chelsea paid around Ā£50m for him. An Ā£8m player is about what i think of him and iād put some of our youth players over that price
