Yeah I get what you mean but he’s frozen out the national side for 2 years now, Leipzig have happily sent him on loan and want to offload him for 8m, that’s pretty damning for a guy that’s had 50+ caps for Germany.

I get what you’re saying, to me though he just looks like he doesn’t belong in a top league let alone a top team in a top league. Perhaps i just dont see enough of him but he’s never looked good, not even when Chelsea paid around £50m for him. An £8m player is about what i think of him and i’d put some of our youth players over that price

Spurs and ManU might have some basis to be disgruntled with that. All things being equal, only at Anfield would have improved on that. Palace would not have been an easy game.
