The spurs player is already in the air. By the time the goalie starts making an attempt, and a totally feeble one, to claim the ball he raises his hands into where the spurs player already is, and then just falls over without even having jumped.
It’s a totally subjective call and probably would have been given a lot of times so I am not going to argue the toss over it. But to me this seems like the fairer call, and was so because of how little effort the goalie made to claim it.
He clearly gets up well before the keeper. The keeper only gets his feet off the floor as he starts to fall backwards into the net
Well, that settles it.
It is a subjective call, like most of ref decisions. It’s fine for people to have differences of opinions on it. And that means a ref can an acceptable decision you dont like without it being wrong or him being shit. Even if he is otherwise a shit ref.
