EFL Cup / League Cup

I stayed for both Herta and QPR and I’ve only left Anfield direct on full time when I’ve had one train left back.

To me it makes little sense.

It always puzzles me. You had this at Anfield in the 1980s, and the main reason was to “beat the traffic”. There were always some people who had a legitimate reason to get away, but it always struck me as ridiculous. A bit like returning a book to the Library without reading the final chapter.

I always stayed back for the classified results 15 minutes after the end. Aside from having a chat about the match, you actually did beat the traffic because it had cleared by the time you got out.

I used to love that at Anfield, staying and clapping the team then waiting for George to read out the other results with the audible cheers and jeers from the crowd depending on what we heard.

Very disappointed in arsenal. Their self imposed limitations were put on full display once they went behind

Even before they when behind, when ManC were on top and the shithousery was increased. Kepa taking 40 seconds pissing about at the back for example.

I’m not happy ManC won, but I’m happy Arsenal lost. I hope they win nothing with this crappy “football”.

I just saw this compilation of Man C not pressing Arsenal…everyone just stood around waiting. I cannot imagine today’s match was a good watch even for neutral.

It was pretty poor. It looked for large sections like a glorified training session, the sort of semi opposed 11 on 11 drills you do the day before a game just to work through some attacking and defending sequences.

Different kinds of sitations, press or defending from the front. It’s more disappointing from Arsenal’s perspective because they’re not progressing at all and in that one situation when they go long, they lose it immediately.

Anyway, City up top 30 major trophies and Guardiola up to 37 trophies in 17 years as coach.
