Maybe the song should get retired unless Bobby plays against us at some juncture :0)
Nice write up for Bobby. Roberto Firmino: Liverpool's 'cult hero' who made football fun - BBC Sport
Whatâs the saying? âYou donât know what youâve got until itâs goneâ.
Players like him are very rare in terms of style.
I was thinking, he could be part of a group of 5 players, among our best ever second strikers (or connectors).
St. John, Keegan, Dalglish, Beardsley, Firmino?
From what I know at least. Chronologically.
In no particular order in terms of quality, but stylistically, as far as that position/role goes. Especially each of them had their own strengths, but speaking more general.
Roberto Firmino:
âI will cry 100 per cent. It will be emotional for me and for my family.â
âThe cycle here is ended and I understand it is time to go. I am very proud for the beautiful history we made together.â
âMaybe one day I could come back, I donât know, but itâs time to go. Come back as a coach? Maybe! You never say never. I donât know what is going to happen with my future. It might be to play, you never know."
He has been great for us, over his time here, but this season close is probably the time for Bobby to go ,most likely to sunnier climes.
The Villa game will be his Swan song at Anfield and Iâm sure it will be a day heâll never forget, whether he scores or not.Anfield will make sure of that, but it would be fitting to see him on the scoresheet.
We have to win today, to keep CL alive.
I hope Bobby gets minutes on the pitch, and I think with Nunez out(?) and Diaz/Jota not 100% back to playing 90 mins that he will get minutes.
Its not sentiment either, he is still an active Liverpool player, with lots to offer.
I hope he has a great few years wherever he goes. Absolute legend.
Si Senor, what a class class player, my favourite of the Klopp era.
Grown men are happy to cry, surely?
Oh gawdâŚthe tearsâŚare hereâŚ
Yep, I couldnât help but get them out earlyâŚitâs gonna get worst on the last day, then again when we realise heâs not on the pre-season tour, then again when heâs not in the squad for first season of 23/24âŚbasically heâs always gonna be missed.
One of the most adored people at the club, his character as much as who he was as a player will hit hard.
Will ever be a Liverpool legend.
Special player.
This is making me cryâŚ
I canât watch this anymoreâŚIâm in floodsâŚ
He hasnât died.
I had the goosebumps and a bit of sadness but as always the club moves on I wish him all the best.
