I’m actually not surprised by all of this. Feels like Mane was a bit slighted by Salah’s adoration by the fans. He arrived a year earlier than Mo (and I believe a year after Bobby) and its possible that Sadio was a bit annoyed by it all. Being how charitable Sadio was with his money supporting his community in Senegal, I’ve always been surprised that while Bobby and Mo had their own songs that we never heard one for Sadio!
I go back to this incident, his overall body language changed soon after this match.
Could see it happening when you saw what a wally he was posing with his RollsRoyce and various other veblenian cars while parking them outside a hideous macmansion. You can take the boy out of the favela but you can’t always take the favela out of the boy.
I think its pretty tasteless (cf Salah or Mane for example) and while he may not have directly hurt anyone he is wilfully participating in disgusting hydrocarbon sports washing which absolutely is designed to hurt people.
The fact that they are donning Arabian (please note, Arabia extends well beyond Saudi ) dresses isn’t bad even by a stretch. Their crime is that they are promoting one of the most vicious (hello Israel ) regimes in the world.
Football had remained completely free of politics right up until it was mentioned on this forum.
Once again, TAN is guilty of dragging the beautiful game into the dirt
