Very much could be. Or could be to start a fire and let Trent see that sailing into the sunset as a legend is unlikely. Give him food for thought.
I am not even sure he is that injured to not play the Everton match. The timing of the news leak of him just possibly signing for Real was suspicious. He might have to stay out of the limelight for a while. I am even thinking unless necessary, he will not play the rest of season until things are confirmed and sorted.
Some stupid cunts had posters outside the ground, asking him if its loyalty or lolly.
Thick fuckers have zero clue and fuck all loyalty themselves treating any current player like that. Particularly someone with Trents record for us.
Employee walks into his bossās office:
āBoss, Iāve been with this company for over twenty years and, frankly, I need a change of scenery. Iāve been offered a job overseas for more money, with better weather to boot. Even if you matched the wage, I still want to leave. I have come to let you know that I am accepting the offer.ā
Boss:
āWeāre sorry to see you go, but we fully understand your reasoning, so itās with a heavy heart that we see you go. You have always shown great loyalty and tried your best. We wish you the best of luck with your future; please know that youāre always welcome back here.ā
Why is it only in football that such a mundane conversation leads to such vitriolic over-reactions?
Iāve read that if RM want him to play in the Club World Cup in June⦠they may pay a token sum for TAA to be released early
Thatās just Iām not exactly sure what to say.
Nah.
We got him without needing to spend any money. That allowed us to spend money on other fronts. The way I see it, heās already repaid whatever transfer fee to us before hand.
And whatever money that Trent would be getting there at RM would have had to be matched by us over here if it was a bidding war.
Heās done his time. Heās given us the moments. Iāll be sad that heās leaving but itās not the end of. No matter what he continues to achieve in RM , heāll be a Liverpool legend first up.
You hit the nail on the head. Football contracts have always been different to ānormalā working ones. And TAA could have played this differently. Of course that makes a difference - look at how, for instance, Owen is thought of compared to Alonso.
Makes a nice conspiracy theory
I think the club told him that they want him at RIght Midfield (RM) but told him only in acronymsā¦
Always leaves a bad taste when the constant social media types speak for others.
We as a fan of the club shouldnāt really care about fees and so on thatās not why I follow this daft sport.
But sadly it seems all some care aboutā¦
I like him and his analysis he is/was part off 442 and the game breakdown of games
I think it was Chris Pajak from redmen TV that summed up why he was angry the best.
His whole ethos started with looking at the likes of why Torres, Suarez, Owen and Macmanaman left saying that they were part of poor performing teams and they could go on to win more.
Then he looked at Trent, like Owen and Macmanan, brought up through the ranks of the club and were/are supporters.
He then said the difference is that Trent has been at Liverpool and won it all and the current team is still on riding the wave and competing for all the trophies and have the ability and foundation to win more.
Finally he said that we as supporters, as Trent is, would/should want to be part of winning more trophies for our club and as true reds we donāt swap our allegiances, supporters donāt do that especially when it is part of making history.
Fans donāt swap teams just for money.
I think, like Pajak also said that Trent is looking at the move purely selfishly and for his āBrandā not as a fan, all of which he is entitled to do and which leaves a little sour taste.
All that said, I do want him to succeed and thrive but not win trophies that we are in for
if you go you still will be remembered for all you did for us, but winning trophies wonāt be the same as winning trophies for Liverpool as a supporter and a player.
its quite an old fashioned and tunnel visioned view thoughā¦
yes, we as fans dont go swapping the shirtā¦but we have other choices in our life to try pastures newā¦
i wish him all the best and COMPLETELY understand that after being at the club for 2/3 of his life, from age 9 onwards, he might want to see what else football has to offerā¦its totally acceptable and the āfactā he run his contract down is also a bit myopicā¦how much of this much vaunted increased transfer fee would we have realised if he was pulling extra money through his salary?..granted, wed still be ahead, but wed also have broken our wage structure to do so, with knock on effects to bootā¦
the kids a legend, and should remain one for the clubā¦a pure entertainer whos been so much fun to watch along the wayā¦some of those passes are from another planetā¦
football is meant to be fun and he definately made it soā¦
best of luck TAA, spread you wings with at least my blessing and show the world how good you are!
I must be so cynical that I canāt really see any of this as anything but just negotiating tactics.
Yeah, he left 442 a few weeks ago and has set up his own channel now, instant subscribe lol
Yeah I enjoy listening to most tactical analysis and enjoy deep dve on Redmen TV
