I am not even sure he is that injured to not play the Everton match. The timing of the news leak of him just possibly signing for Real was suspicious. He might have to stay out of the limelight for a while. I am even thinking unless necessary, he will not play the rest of season until things are confirmed and sorted.

We got him without needing to spend any money. That allowed us to spend money on other fronts. The way I see it, heās already repaid whatever transfer fee to us before hand.

You hit the nail on the head. Football contracts have always been different to ānormalā working ones. And TAA could have played this differently. Of course that makes a difference - look at how, for instance, Owen is thought of compared to Alonso.

I think it was Chris Pajak from redmen TV that summed up why he was angry the best.
His whole ethos started with looking at the likes of why Torres, Suarez, Owen and Macmanaman left saying that they were part of poor performing teams and they could go on to win more.
Then he looked at Trent, like Owen and Macmanan, brought up through the ranks of the club and were/are supporters.
He then said the difference is that Trent has been at Liverpool and won it all and the current team is still on riding the wave and competing for all the trophies and have the ability and foundation to win more.
Finally he said that we as supporters, as Trent is, would/should want to be part of winning more trophies for our club and as true reds we donāt swap our allegiances, supporters donāt do that especially when it is part of making history.
Fans donāt swap teams just for money.
I think, like Pajak also said that Trent is looking at the move purely selfishly and for his āBrandā not as a fan, all of which he is entitled to do and which leaves a little sour taste.
All that said, I do want him to succeed and thrive but not win trophies that we are in for
if you go you still will be remembered for all you did for us, but winning trophies wonāt be the same as winning trophies for Liverpool as a supporter and a player.

i wish him all the best and COMPLETELY understand that after being at the club for 2/3 of his life, from age 9 onwards, he might want to see what else football has to offerā¦its totally acceptable and the āfactā he run his contract down is also a bit myopicā¦how much of this much vaunted increased transfer fee would we have realised if he was pulling extra money through his salary?..granted, wed still be ahead, but wed also have broken our wage structure to do so, with knock on effects to bootā¦
the kids a legend, and should remain one for the clubā¦a pure entertainer whos been so much fun to watch along the wayā¦some of those passes are from another planetā¦
football is meant to be fun and he definately made it soā¦
