1:1 Andrich
2-1, Xabi is god ![]()
They won the league in 2012 too.
Clever cookie imo.
Super tough to follow Klopp in the PL with corrupt refs and Man City.
The more I look at it, the more I think the LFC job is arguably the toughest out of the Real Madrid and Bayern jobs. He’s far more likely to win league titles at those clubs, managing elite players and egos, and with all that experience, he’d be primed to take the LFC job later on if it’s available, against the likes of City, Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, etc. He wouldn’t be thinking about his next move either. Imagine if he’d moved to us in the summer, we’d be concerned about Real Madrid sniffing around all of the time.

Maybe for the future in 4-5 years from now.
Clever cookie. He knows how tough it will be to follow Klopp.
Yeah, Carra and Stevie described that in the same way after Xabi’s first training session with us.

I love Xabi.
I hate Madrid

What you call a Love Hate relationship…
Love Xabi… Hate RM
Alonso’s crimes - video analysis and asking the players to work hard off the ball. Madrid are a shambles of a club, but this not a situation that lends itself to him walking straight into another big job, especially one where there are big issues to fix. He’s going to need some time for reflection and recovery
Is that right
fucking hell.
I was going to post something more circumspect on Xabi. Along the lines of he brought his Madrid team to Anfield in the middle of our worse spell of form for decades and we made them look shit. Are we sure he is as good as he’s cracked up to be?
Then I read this.
Caretaker until summer and then Xabi for next season when he’s had a rest would be very logical. I have no idea how Slot is still here (it brings me absolutely no joy to say that). If Xabi ends up here then I’ll be glad he went to Madrid first. We won’t have the constant links to them when they fire their manager every 10 minutes!
I’d take Xabi in a heartbeat. At the very least he’d get a tune out of Wirtz.
He would probably need a break, but who would be willing to do the dirty work for the rest of the season?
Might be the first time I cheer Man C since the Denis Law backheel.
In the real world that’s a very difficult question for the club to find an answer to. Maybe that’s one of the reasons Slot is still here. I think Stevie G has been mentioned, but that would be a disaster. If he did really well and we ended up in CL spots then the club would have to consider giving him a job full time, which would be a fucking catastrophe, both for the club and his legacy. Jurgen has many other commitments and I really don’t see him returning in any capacity, certainly not for half a season. Kenny is obviously well past it now or he would have been ideal to ‘steady the ship’. I really don’t know who would/could end up doing it on a part time basis. Anyone got any realistic names to throw in?
What’s Giggs up to?
