yeah, amongst all the Robbo and Salah love in, youd imagine its very possible this is Jo Gos last game for us aswell… how good would it be to see him score that elusive goal.

Against Brentford and the way we are at the moment, I would be very comfortable in saying that it’s very much within the realm of possibilities.
Just wait for the stress when Brentford get their 1st corner or long throw opportunity

Given the transition we went through last Summer I would have quietly been happy with top 4 and CL qualification.
But, I can’t be. The league is shit and we were rubbish, and somehow still made 5th. I consider ourselves very fortunate.

Doesn’t matter what happens from now until the end of the transfer window I expect this to be a transition year.
I think we will look improved in big parts of our games, tactical improvements and players will perform much better than they did last season but the overall situation is going to make it impossible to compete for trophies.
It’s a shame Iraola is starting with a ‚handicap’ (the holes in the squad etc.) into his first season because i have the feeling there won’t be a team running away with the title.

I expect a comfortable finish in the CL spots, not the sort of touch and go affair of last season. I expect to see some exciting front foot football that gets the blood pumping. I expect a CL run to the QF as sort of a par, anything more is a bonus.
Beyond that I hope for some silverware. The bigger the better.
Slot showed us in his first year that a new manager can shape it and win the big prize. I don’t expect that from Iraola, but I hope for it.
Anything is possible. I might feel a bit more bullish if, say, we sign Barcola, Mbaye and Doue.

I’m just excited. I love a fresh start, change. A new manager to get familiar with, changes in the squad, players coming and going. Watching how the pieces fit, how it all shapes up. Players developing, fitting into a new context. How what I’m thinking now probably isn’t what I’m thinking six or twelve months from now. We’re just getting started on a new journey, it’s a great feeling.

I expect us to be stronger in the second half of the season than the first and to be top 4 at the end of the season. I want and expect to see us develop an identity - cohesion, intensity, aggressive.

See us top 4 or close by seasons end,a couple more signings could help a lot, as it stands we could be a bit thin, and some injuries, inevitable, wont help, but above all I want to see progress under Iraola,from the dogs breakfast of last year.
Definitely see us finishing in the top four. We could win the league as City don’t have Guardiola and may be losing Rodri, and I can’t see Arsenal being the team they were last season, particularly because refs will clamp down on all jockeying and blocking at corners.
If we get Barcola we’ll have a front line that should scare the pants off the opposition, and we still have the same midfield trio that won the league not so long ago. Defence might be a problem though. Bournemouth weren’t renowned for their defensive excellence, particularly at set pieces.
I have a strong feeling that we’ll win something. I’ll be happy even if it’s just the League Cup so long as we also qualify for the CL.

I just want not to be dreading having to watch us play. Last season almost killed any interest I had left for the game. CL qualification will do for me this year , as long as we get back to some fast , attacking football and watching players who actually give a shit.
