I’ve got that in my bookmarks but it’s not working. Anyway, @Livvy has rescued me yet again.
That’s correct
Really like what I’ve seen fro Ekitike - the goal obviously, but an excellent first touch, vision, and a willingness to get physical
Both times your left hasn’t been in the picture but its Gakpo fault absolutely priceless.
Some scintilating play fellas
Exactly he looks like a footballer.
We play very similarly to a 3-4-1-2 formation with Gakpo and Frimpong as two wingers, Kerkez staying more central and playing safe. Ekitike and Salah as two forwards.
Wirtz plays very dynamically and is heavily involved in the build-up. And what a joy when our team is full of players with silky touch.
you can see both teams now a bit tired
Fucking idiot is back no clue on footy just sniping again
FFS, I have just discovered it’s on DAZN in Germany. Watching at the moment, which is weird because I cancelled them months ago.
HT 1-2:
Good work-out for the lads. As has been seen in other pre-seasons, we look breathtaking when on the move towards the opposing goal. The pace is incredible. Ekitike’s goal to ignite the fireworks was a little gem, he looks the part so far, not only his shooting, but also his involvement in the build-up, his first touches etc.
The 1-1 was also typical for us so far. One straight pass through the middle and we explode. It was a pen, no doubt about it.
The 2-1 was deserved, as we were better than CP during that half. Obviously, Frimpong didn’t intend it at all, that was rather Diogo’s goal at the 20th minute… he must have had a hand in it.
Could still go either way, as we look fragile at the back, but the result doesn’t matter. Throw in the kids, I want to see them once more before the season starts!
Amazing 65% possession and we have committed 6 fouls to their 1, seems the bar for us fouling is different to the oppositions
The first 40 min of this game was totally awesome. Some people may claim it’s just a “friendly”, but I recognice good play against a good opponent when i see it. Both teams have tried to win and I have seen countless Liverpool games in the Premier League with far lower quality, with tired players, with sad football. This was not sad, but awesome.
The only shame is that the game does not give us 3 points. But this is a perfect start to the season. First half anyway.
Frimpong, Etikeke and Wirtz, very impressive. So are the rest, though Salah rusty (but eh, super early days). If you want to be ultra critical, VDV should have dealt with the pen situation bettter, but that attack was excellent, so I cannot criticise.
This is fun for me and in my opinion, this should be fun for you.
Mac on for Jones, let’s get this party started!
Love watching Wirtz, just none stop motion and sublime touches, his vision and touch are next level.
Listening to Steve Nicol on ESPN…SMDH
The hand of (Dio)god…
Need to get the balance right on the left side of defence.
Plus Szobo needs to cut out his turnovers…
“Palace have looked more settled and mature than Liverpool”
Guy is stealing a living as a pundit
He plays like he is on his own time and schedule. the palace defenders started backing off him as the game went on
