We have lost our intensity defensively as we did during games towards the end of last season, but it is the 1st game and a glorified friendly so hope it is just rustiness.

Suddenly we look short on forwards. Nunez, Diaz and Jota aren’t there. We have got Ekiteke anc thats it. We need Isak and someone like Mateta to be invincible.
I sympathise with that, obviously. I just found the first half so fun and awesome to watch. I also saw how competative our manager looked, how happy he and the players were when we played well and that we went for it. I just like winning games, even though it’s just “the most important friendly”.
But I agree, one should not go to the greatest lenghts in the world, risking life and limb. It’s just that I would like us to win it; that is all.

Also have had enough on the people like Ismaela sarr scoring against us and doing fuck all against other teams.

We missed Graven today. No doubt. Elliott has been very good since coming on.Short neat passes. No unnecessary carring of the ball.

I wouldn’t mind winning it on penalties, to be fair. That could still happen.
But maybe you are right and that we should not expend that much energy. It’s good training to get in match fitness anyway.

can already see it will take Wirtz and Tiki a minute to get with the pace and intensity of the PL. They both went quiet in the 2nd. I remember how ryan initially struggled that first season as well
