Oh I’ve grown a large hatred to that over the last few months watching it more and more often. It really should get a booking.
I was pissed off with Diaz doing it occasionally however he does seem to curb it for us.

The funny thing is they brought in guidance to the refs in the 94 world cup to punish that with an automatic booking. It is just in that category of things that refs have the capacity to address but just don’t.

Yup it demonstrates perhaps the old format just needed a bit of a rejig.

To be honest i would not like us to qualify for it in its current format and in any case it is scheduled at the wrong time of the year which would disrupt heavily our preseason period and knacker our players for the start of the new season.

Was listening to Villas-Boas (Porto president) earlier, posted the link yesterday in another thread. Interestingly he said that a number of their transfer targets before the CWC rejected them because they actually didn’t want to participate. Rather rest before the new season.
