Sweden are too nice a team, can’t recall a single heavy tackle that’s gone it from them.

Gasbands drawings are better than these cartoons

But the one we had yesterday is definitely better looking than Casemiro.

Ooh Trezeguet

great player. Rarely mentioned.

Isak can take a holiday break then come back to summer training.

Should have scored poor finish

Is this the part where everyone rushes to social media to slate Isak’s performance and call him
a waste of space etc? The joyous combination of football and the internet eh.

Yep got a bit of match sharpness, only needs a 2 week holiday as he had a 9 months holiday this lasts season!

Tomorrow…

Was a little disappointed by Isak but he still doesn´t look quite sharp as somebody said.

Our best player probably tonight

And NRK agrees, while some other journos think it was Nusa (he actually got it officially, but I think Berg was much more important)

Nyland was also excellent.

But really, he was great in this game

Indeed. He’s worth taking a punt on, assuming that next season will be Alisson’s final season with us.

StĂĽle Solbakken on Patrick Berg, and his role on the national team:

"Patrick is a player who at the very highest level, like today, is perhaps the best defensively at running up to people. He is also very disciplined defensively, makes few mistakes, and is tactically good.

There are probably other players who are better at turning up in tight spaces and starting the game, like for example Sander [Berge]. But Patrick gives Martin [Ødegaard] more freedom offensively.

And he’s also a player who’s the real deal both on and off the pitch. He’s the one [if he’s not on the team] who takes the leadership role among those who aren’t playing. Always gives a hundred percent in all training sessions. He’s used to being a player, at least in Bodø/Glimt, that everyone looks up to. He’s also starting to become that on the national team, where you know you can rely on Patrick.

He has strengths and weaknesses just like everyone else. He’s not the perfect international central midfielder, he’s not. But today he was."

NRK

Everyone salivating about the Olisse shot that hit the post. Many may be too young to remember this all time banger from 86

We’ll see, but I think that there will be lots of cards in this match, or at least a lot of play acting. Hope I am wrong.

Mexico looks pretty good so far. A lot of good one-twos. Attacks are mostly from the right side in the first 5 minutes.

What a cross by Luis Romo! RaĂşl JimĂŠnez mistimed the jump for the header.
