I know what you’re saying but in stressful situations being completely clear in your actions is a gift. For Cole Palmer it does seem like sometimes he plays without fear because he doesn’t overthink things
Yep, 100% this. It’s a reasonable call to leave more talented players at home in favor of ones that give you structure. But you live and die on those decisions, and he’s done it to the extent that they are not well set up to play against teams we’re “supposed to beat”.
On his day Foden is the best attacking English player IMO.
Have the feeling Pep put him under pressure to sign a new contract by putting him on bench for big parts of the season which cost him the World Cup.

Foden in 50 odd England caps only has 4 goals, he has been genuinely awful at international level and rightfully isn’t under consideration at the moment.
