What a game

Kinda glad of the outcome after Senegal´s cheating antics during the penalty.

Dramatic game. Nice.

A real cracker of a game.

If Pape Matay Sarr is your free kick taker, you deserve to go out.

Well done that Senegal guy comforting Camara.

No shame in making a mistake at this level.

It’s brilliant refereeing, apart from not showing him a card.

We’ve seen Kane win this penalty so many times, and he should have had so many yellow cards.

There should be a protocol that allows VAR to send players to the screen so they can have a look at what an embarrassment they are.

The 5 min “go and sit over there in the corner and think about what you’ve done” sin bin

A victory for the US would mean some players getting more money and “soccer” being in the US newscycle longer and with more enthusiasm, but a victory for Bosnia Herzegovina would set the names of all of their players in immortal balkan legend. Children would be born bearing the names of some of those who played here tonight.

Bosnia’s victory would be so much more. Mean so much more. Just needs to be said. If Bosnia Herzegovina advanced, it would become a cultural myth. Doubt that can be said for the US winning.

You missed great games, don’t want to lie. But I suppose such a music experience is more unique and so significantly better

Bosnia already looked a bit disjointed. Communications!

The USMNT was a joke when Poch took over (or was it too many first team players injury at that time? I have forgotten). He has done an amazing job to get this crew to work like a well oiled machine. Really did not expect that after he left Spurs.

Haha, nice corner

And to be fair it didn’t look like it at the start.

Yes, I remember it was a real mess and some US fans were asking why not getting Marsch. As my edit earlier, I have forgotten if they had a lot of injuries to the main players during that time. I remember Poch had to use a lot of slightly lower tier MLS players to fill the ranks.

Roll call ! Are Matty and me the only ones from Europe left watching ?

No vacation now then

Not very riveting this yet

They were a shambles coming out of the last World Cup and then made bad decisions at every step for the next 2 years making it worse. They had the players to be competitive at last 32/16 level if everyone was available but had real culture issues to work through - a growing number of knicked up euro players understandably not wanting to come back to have the shit kicked out of them by Honduras in a relatively meaningless game, and no common understanding of if that’s reasonable and only interim coaches in places to state expectations and consequences. Poch cracked heads a bit when he came in and it wasn’t immediately appreciated but he appears to have won them over

Shouldn’t that be a yellow card as well for diving in the box?
