GOAT sheep is this breed (or rather it is my favorite, when it comes to the taste of the meat as well as I think they are prettier than the continental boring white fluffy-fluffs.
When I grew up we had 8, for hobby purposes. Mine was called Jens-Petter (donāt ask) and he had brown cowboy-boots (his legs looked like that). Eventually we slaughtered him at home and he tasted superbly delicious.
We call them Norwegian wild sheep or āUr-sheepā and they have been around since forever.

Yeah, eventually. We used both the wool and the meat. But we didnāt slaughter them as lambs, more than a very few (because we ended up with too many sheep unless we slaughtered a few, and you kind of have to eat the males before they get too old, or they cannot be eaten by humans).
But certainly yes. We ate them all eventually. Why waste ?
