FIFA World Cup 2026 - USA/Canada/Mexico (Part 2)

Just realised that it’s English referees for both matches at the same time. Oliver and Taylor.

Egil Selvik has been very, very good as keeper !
particularly as he has to work with a defence that isn’t gelled at all and so is disjointed and lose the ball in…interesting positions.

My God, no time to write, this game is played at 200km an hour. Chance to France, chance to us, France. Boom !

What a game !

This feels like a 5-a-side game with one of the teams being significantly better.

Nice goals but it’s been too easy for both attacks.

Are both teams using their bench players in the back line?

France has such great attackers but no midfield general. Quite a drop off from years gone by there.

That’s how to beat a packed defence, have 4 forwards of Mbappe, Doue, Olise and Dembele!

$700m worth of talent LOL

When you look at those 4 and compare it to Englands just shows you how poor Englands options are in attack.

At times, that was a real spanking by France’s stars. But at times, we created a lot of interesting stuff.

An incredibly fun watch. Dembele has been phenomenal, although our defenders should have probably contested 1 of them. He gets too much time on the ball.

It’s probably going to be an ugly result, but most Norwegians don’t really care and didn’t expect to be able to get a draw after swapping 10 players.
It’s entertaining, They play entertaining, we play worse and have a completely ungelled team that have never played together, but also entertaining. Positive football. Both teams trying to score goals. Norway will certainly try to score more goals in the second half. Might not succeed. France will probably get a couple more goals.

Entertaining. sips beer Entertaining.

Night and day isnt it.

But as you point out, they have essentially four forwards.

We went with 3 midfielders when we should have had somebody creative in the 10, not Bellingham who is a CM.

dembele, scores with his right, then his left and then his left again

However, England don’t have a truly creative 10 who has performed at the level required and please don’t mention Palmer or Foden.

Palmer may have been for 12 months but not over the last year.

No but it´s the best we have. Rogers maybe.

Bellingham is never going to cut teams open like that. Neither is Rice or probably Anderson.

Pah, not a perfect hattrick, no header of the ball then, drop him!

There isn’t a team in international football whose attacking options don’t look poor compared to France’s.

Rogers is a 10 that runs into space and can’t be compared in the same breath as Olise who can do everything, apart from heading the ball

Yeah but we dont have anyone else.

Why the fuck did he take so many runners. Say what you want about Palmer and Foden´s form but at least they are somewhat creative on their day.

What is Eze going to do?

But when all 4 position for position beats Englands it just shows the gulf in quality in forward positions.

I have said that France are beatable if you contain their forwards as the rest of the team aren’t nowhere near the quality.

Foden has been worse than shit for England, Palmer did look good in the Euros but has had a poor season, teams have worked him out.

Eze was best at Palace playing from the left.

Lol, look at Oscar Bob play there !

Hit or miss, Bob’s play prior to pen amazing !

Didn’t @Sweeting really rate Bobb?
