Im stuck in a work call so have this on my laptop on the side so didnt see it clearly or heard the discussion. I was actually surprised that once he got up they were all preparing for a pen
I don’t think he needed to go down to get that, he just got kicked. Ref was moving to call it right away
That’s actually a bit unexpected; I’m curious to see how the French react to it now.
It could be argued that the ball was beyond yamal’s reach and there was little chance of him being able to do anything substantial with it even if he wasn’t kicked at.
But it’s always been a part of the game.
