I am perfectly sane.
If I had my way, I would have paid the kitman to put hot chillie powder in the under-garments of the Argentinean footballers under their shorts.
They are just a bunch of obnoxious thugs. They played the better teams in order to get to a draw in the tournament, extra-time and penalties and they had the referees and FIFA on their side.

What I find slightly bemusing is that the hatred for England is so strong that quite a number of posters were celebrating that disgusting shower getting to the final.

American audience, Trump included, was probably absolutely baffled as to how a trophy could be awarded directly to the people who actually won the thing and not first off be given to the owner.

There are people all over the world who dislike the English, some of them in the UK. That might be as a result of colonialism, more recent support of unpopular US aggressions, it might be the turgid football they play, or the ugly behaviour of the fans. There are no shortage of reasons for people to feel negatively about England in general, or the football team in particular. Not sure why that’s bemusing.
If it’s any comfort, lots of people dislike other countries and their teams too.

Whether you agree that the arm should be deemed offside is a different matter but it is just offside

It’s funny that I have heard a few times that Spain have gone under the radar.
In the same way, it seems to me, that it has gone under the radar that since 2008 Spain have won two World Cups and three European Championships.
That since 2008, Spain has won nine Champions Leagues and nine Europa Leagues, and the fact that this year Spanish coaches have won the Premier League, Ligue 1, the Champions League and the Europa League.
It’s gone under the radar.

Spain´s front 3 is actually quite mediocre. Yamal is very talented but young, and the other two starters arent that good, especially Baena.
But their midfield is very good and their defence pretty solid. Shows the difference a midfield can make when it´s balanced, has a good anchor and plenty of footballers in it not runners. They beat Argentina and France in the midfield. Any Spanish midfielders we can sign? Guerra?

After the England game that’s the picture I had in my head.
I thought Williams and Torres changed the game in Spain’s favour last night. Just that extra bit of oomph to an attack which was pretty dull beforehand.

Yeah in fairness Williams apparently is still not fit to start games but the two added more balance to the attack. Before that Argentina only had to worry about Yamal so he was doubled up on.
