Former players and managers - general discussion

Did you ever hear the man speak Dutch? Apart from roughly 50.000 people in a province called Twente in the east of the Netherlands nobody understands a word he is saying, can you imagine him speaking English …

Like Bielsa he needs to bring a translator. :innocent:

Is he alright?

Yeah he’s just stuck in quarantine and has an interesting sense of humour sometimes;

Before heading to Barcelona, Xavi named Javier Mascherano the ‘ideal’ candidate to be in charge of Al Sadd, according to Diario AS.

Among the Argentine’s greatest qualities, Xavi singled out his strong character, professionalism, a wide knowledge of international football and a similar game vision.

Mascherano actually plans to become a coach in the near future, but it is expected by many that he will start his managerial career at the Argentine side Racing Club de Avellaneda.

Javier Mascherano is 37. He is currently La Liga’s ambassador.

So not paying him for training table time? Harsh.

I haven’t seen all of them play in my lifetime, but the almost ‘Suarez-Torres’ what-could-have-been is what I might have gone for.

Why isn’t Barnes on that list?

Barnes wasn’t a striker

Barnes could and did play in the front two.

It’s a toss up between Mo and Suarez or Mo and Torres.

Think Suarez edges it

Kenny Mo

Suarez and Salah.

Kenny in behind. Top of the diamond.

Barnes on the left, Gerrard on the right, Souness at the base.

I think the highest ceiling could be Suarez and Rush.

But realistically, it would probably still be Kenny and Rush. Not only their quality, but their understanding as well.

I’ve seen all of them play and I can’t decide, it’s too difficult.

Salah and Kenny, people think that Firmino is magic at creating for Salah and Mane Kenny would be on a different level. Barnes on the left. Gerrard, McMahon and Souness as the (nastiest/most brutal ever whilst still being amazing) midfield. Vvd and Hansen at CB. Alexander-Arnold at RB. Alan Kennedy at LB. Ray Clemence in goal. Klopp as manager (if only because the game is more modern now) and set up in our current 433.

There is only 1 correct answer - Sir Kenny and Rushie.

Any other answer is just wrong
