Torn
First one has the preferred P90 pickups and cheaper.
Second looks miles better IMO, unknown pickup tone (not original but could be lovely) and more expensive

I prefer the one in first pic
Umm not sure. There’s so many Strat models now I get confused with them all.
It’s a Mexican Strat that was built in 2004 / 05.
A standard player Strat you can get for around £550 new.
Deluxe and signature models go for £750ish new.
Here you get a case, the above you wont. I dont think pick up changes adds anything to value to be honest. It’s a false economy from a guitar selling point of view. Kind of feels about £50-100 over priced to me but others might have a more informed view.
Thank you…
Argh that’s not helping!!!

Rare colour
Very. Never saw one like that.
Litrally 5 minutes up the road from me. Is this a sign??
Possibly, even though mine is looking like its increasingly going to be on the market soon.
The pickups have been changed on that one too which some people consider to be the weak point (not sure how to be honest as I would say maybe some of the electronics) so there could be a bonus in that one. That aside they are really good and under rated guitars IMO. They play really well, tuning stability is awesome, they sound good.
If I were to have one criticism it would be the weight, but that probably adds to the tone etc. The set neck probably does. The sustain is good, and they have a rich tone. Ideal rock guitar IMO.
What are the necks like on these? Fat or thin? Thanks
A shallow U shape would be my way of describing it. There’s a very slight flattish section to the rear which allows you to get your thumb on it comfortably but it’s not as slim as a super fast neck. There’s a little meat to it. It’s kind of Les Paul but with added speed.
It’s a gloss finish to the rear as in the rest of the guitar. Access to the higher frets is good. 24.75" scale length. Dot inlays to the top binding so you can find your way round from there. Plastic nut I think though but it’s never given me any issues
Just bought this…
that is hideous
Gross. Full stop.
Probably not the best guitar in the world. But the reviews suggest for around £400 its one of the best out there. I live about minute walk from their warehouse and have a £10 off voucher.
This bloke loves it.
That appears to tick lots of boxes for you
Right, I’ve done some rough research on the PUPs fitted to the dark brown Tele thinline above (my preferred finish) and I think they are Dimarzio P90 Super Distortion Humbuckers.
Still reading up on stuff on these but does anyone know of them or have any experience with them?
No, I thought they were mini-humbuckers, but if they are super-distortion @Noo_Noo its a no no. Nowhere near the classic vintage tones you are looking for, I doubt they will even clean up.
I learned this early about gain; You can always put in from a pedal or a rack, but if its in the guitar, you’re stuck with it.
