You’ll Never Walk Enough
For directions… Just follow the smell from the treatment works :0)
Is it because they won’t put buses on for friendlies?
Wouldn’t take the club to put buses much… if day places like Students’ unions can.
Or is someone just reacting to a throw away line….
The Guardian have published their preview of Everton’s season.
they are predicting that they will finish 13th (average of journalists predictions) and it seems like a fair assessment. I suspect that the biggest challenge will be the toxicity of a portion of their fanbase.
I’ve actually got my doubts they will have that good a season, a new home that won’t have the same impact of travelling to the old place and the fact you had to get changed in a portakabin at times.
The Guardian does touch on the fact that they have a lot of outgoing players and a sparseness of new ones coming in. That’s probably why the have them as lower-mid rather than upper-mid table (they point out that on Moyes form last season they would have finished 8th).
Moyes is obviously a major asset for them now. It’s interesting to see whether the new stadium helps or hinders them as a team.
They might actually get a huge home advantage in the games at their new stadium - anyone associated with Everton will already be used to playing in a foul atmosphere surrounded by the stench of failure and rotting careers but successful players could be put off and have to go full on Robbie Fowler
Going into that stadium, in the middle of winter, when it’s pitch dark and pissing down, to watch that shite, won’t be a picnic either!!
Probably a good deal for Everton. Cheaty write off that much each year on brown envelopes, let alone what goes inside them.
He’ll be shown drinking in their end of the year DVD when they finish 10th
12m loan fee.
… and that’s before his bill from the minibar.
And Cheaty paying his wages through the envelope system?
I guess Moyes will play him as a #10 behind the main striker, with perhaps McNeil off the right and Ndiaye off the left.
That 12m will take care of that I suspect.
I don’t know; with his Alice band etc he’d fit right in with their womens team.
With his ability to hold the ball up in channels before flopping on the ground to win a cheap free kick, he is going to do well there.
Would be typical Everton mind….
