Legally you are right, but from a reputation angle it would be a massive own goal.
Women and and Family groups will slaughter Co-op’s reputation. Think how it would look if a female partner at your firm took time off to help kids with the exams and was pushed out during that time and the reputational hit your firm would take
I think the firm might reasonably ask why, if the caseload allows for such an absence, should they be employing an extra person when they return (regardless of their gender)?
Obviously slightly different if they are an equity partner.

Obviously it’s agreed. I think the option is available to all their employees from what the article says. Doesn’t change the fact that if her absence has no negative operational impact that it will lead the company to consider whether they’ve got too many people at or around that level.

This is sort of interesting. Put in two bands and it creates a playlist to link them.
Not sure how useful it is is as the few I have tested between bands I like have been either really short playlists or made up of bands/songs I don’t especially like.

It’s interesting reading the BBC while being in NZ. I use to consider it the gold standard for international correspondence.
But reading it from abroad, it’s interesting to see how some of their reporting can be misleading. Although it’s a puff piece, it implies Arden’s approval rating have dropped because of tough covid restrictions. I would describe that as a minor reason.
Major reason for change in polls is inflation/house prices (average salary 50K, average house price now 1M). That’s the biggest issue for Kiwis. People can see a housing crash on the horizon. She was voted into power on fixing housing and it’s got 10x worse. The other aspect is a new opposition leader that is not focused on party infighting, and does not say something stupid every other week.
Funny thing is NZ is opening up its travel restrictions, but 60% of population would rather boarders remained closed during omicron.
My personal perspective is she has been a fantastic PM. The protestors are generally seen as nutters. They had a convey and many of turned up at the ferry port between south and north island, only to realise they needed vaccination/ negative test to travel 
There was quite a few jokes about them not doing their research
