January Transfer Window 2025

I still think he’s a good player. Bad moves can happen to anyone.

HERE WE GO: Napoli agree deal to sign Philip Billing from Bournemouth! Agreement in place on loan move plus €9/10m option clause to buy Billing in the summer — not mandatory. Salary will be covered by Napoli until June 2025.

Contender for worst January window of all time?

Napoli going to dominate Italy with a midfield of Scott McTominay and Philip Billing.

Ruben Vargas from Augsburg to Sevilla for €2.5m.

Fair in general. But a move to Lorient when he is supposedly a Liverpool quality player is very odd. And then only half a season at his next club before deciding the championship was a good move? This is extreme.

Yeah, he’s had a few moves and from Lorient to Sunderland, a few different levels and leagues. This will be, what, his 4th different side in the last 2 years or so? It’s certainly weird. I don’t know enough about the player anyway, but a lot of it was based on stats. I see that his Sunderland manager is the one who also worked at Lorient.

HERE WE GO! Como agree deal to sign Maxence Caqueret from OL for €17m fee! Cesc Fabregas will have new midfielder available soon with €15m plus €2m deal sealed and medical booked. Como keep going with ambitious project after Assane Diao, Jean Butez, Fresneda close and Iván Antón next from Real Zaragoza, deal almost done.

Alex Matos from Chelsea to Oxford on loan.
Michael Folorunsho from Napoli to Fiorentina on loan.

Romano:

Same as Como, NO negotiations or talks ongoing between AS Monaco and Marcus Rashford despite links. Barcelona, AC Milan, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund all had meetings with Rashford’s camp this week. More to follow next week.

Isn’t that what Japanese Everton fans call their Captain?
