He’s the last thing we’d need.
Atletico raising a fair wedge of money ahead of the summer.
I think he meant Bergvall
Gustav Mortensen from Lyngby to Standard Liege for €1m.
Owen Goodman from Palace to Barnsley on loan.
Donyell Malen from Villa to Roma on loan, €2.3m fee, option to buy.
Yeah Bergvall.
Interesting to note that when VVD’s initial transfer fell through and had the option to join both City and Chelsea he told them both to tell their fucking stories walking! Waited 6 months and got his dream move.
The fact that Guehi so quickly and willingly jumps to the first club to batter their lashes in his direction indicates missing out might be a bullet dodged.
More likely it shows how much more we pushed for VVD than we did for Guehi.
Doesn’t strike me as that type of character. He could have done an Isak to force through his move, yet he didn’t and his performances remained consistently good. It’s a real shame that we weren’t able to push this one over the line, especially as Konate will likely leave on a free and maybe we won’t have the luxury of CL revenue next season.
City had the opportunity again in that January of 2018, but regarded the fee as too much and opted to sign Laporte, activating his €65m clause.
How dare you take my delusions of missing out on him not being a big deal away from me?

Justin Kalumba from Angers to Mallorca on a free.
Marshall Munetsi from Wolves to Paris FC on loan.

To be fair to Guehi he has no real reason to wait for us. He’s not a Liverpool fan, former Chelsea player, never played for us etc. If we haven’t gone back in with any serious offers this month then he doesn’t owe us anything.
I will refer the honourable a good poster to my earlier reply 2 posts up.

The lack of push for Guehi given our shortages in defence right now and that we could probably get him a bit cheaper than what we offered in Summer implies we want to go down a different profile and rcb for a defender.
I reckon Ibou moves on along with Gomez and a right sided centre back or 2 is what we will look for with Leoni to be given time in Virg’ position in his last season for us.
If thats not the case then it seems back to the minimum and data led cheaper options the recruitment team will go back to given the hit and miss outcome of going for the best in position ala Summer.
I read somewhere that Guehi’s wage will be 300k. If that is indeed the case, no wonder LFC backed off.
