Yeah that is just how it is now.
I think he would really have benefitted from that anchoring midfield player to cover and shield him somewhat.
Iraola has to find a way to cover Frimpong´s weaknesses and ideally get the most from his pace going forward with the players we have.
We need to stop hounding our players, esp on SM.

Frimpong was signed based on substantive scouting reports, not his nationality. Neither does he deserve the ridiculous picture being posted on twitter…
After two games, the right side of Liverpool is stronger DEFENSIVELY than it was under Trent. He has speed and athleticism and great recovery, and thus not vulnerable on 1v1 defending as TAA was.
What is lacking atm is on the offensive side, but for anyone paying attention, there are clear signs that this will come..

His best delivery at Leverkusen was the low cross or the cut back.
And his greatest weapon was the blind side run to complement a wall pass.
In the past two games, the movement was not always there from the MF or attack to support this, although he did provide two such crosses vs Forest, one- a cut back, which was fluffed by Macca.
I recall that for over a decade, Dani Alvez was ridiculed by English pundits as not being a defender. Over the same period, he won title after title, providing a devstating platform for one Lionel Messi…
Its the aerial cross that he failed at repeatedly. But that is not something that cannot be improved on…And certainly not deserving of being summarily written off after two games.

I could see Frimpong being here mostly as a backup player and then possibly leave when he’s had enough and wishes to have regular starts again.
