Brendan at least played exciting football and spent a truckload less than LegoMan

The very worst Emery would have done if he’s given 5 years is to come in second in the PL…twice only.

They were saying Reya is better that prime Alisson earlier today. They are fucking wild.

Raya isn’t better than any version of Alisson.

Really interesting piece in The Athletic about Klopp, including probably the most in-depth interview he’s given since his departure from Anfield.

He says he doesn’t plan to return to management, but I think if the German national team job came open, he’d strongly consider it.

This always felt obvious to me, I thought he’d consider that job because it’s not massively demanding but may still get his juices flowing.

“But then I tell Pep (Guardiola) — he improved his (golf) handicap with age! I didn’t have a f***ing minute of time to play golf! So that’s why he’s a genius and I am not.”

His voice goes up an octave. “When do you play golf? I cannot believe that.”

Yeah someone spamming off the back of what he said a few days ago, he’s achieved everything so he doesn’t need to prove it to anyone anymore. Probably realised how enjoyable life is, maybe the Jota death has had some effect on him, I know some hate the red bull thing but it allows him to be involved without any high decisions.

I remember Kloppo spoke highly of the organisation structure of RB football when he was at LFC. I was not surprised that he took the job.

I was surprised he went there because of how much Red Bull is loathed in German Football. A wealthy business propping up an otherwise artificial club to serve their marketing interests.

But frankly, I get it. He wanted a job in football that allows him to have a voice without requiring the daily grind, and overseeing multi-club model with global reach means that he’s removed from the day-to-day rigors of each individual club.

The only other option with that kind of structure was, what, Man City? That was never going to happen.

Also seems to get some good holidays out of it, though you’d think Trivago would sub him some :joy:

I do dislike RB Leipzig, because then are a “Werbeplattform” (in English: advertisement platform) and he has did not startet in the lower leagues, but in the Oberliga (fifth division) after he did took the place from SSV Markranstädt (a Leipzig suburb club). Nevertheless, i do not hate Jurgen and i like, the fans of LFC honoured Jurgen.

Yeah JtG, most German fans feel the same way.

@Bekloppt

Unfortunately, many Germans do hate Klopp since he took the job as “Fußballchef” (in English maybe football director) at Red Bull. And the most fans of 1.FSV Mainz 05 and Borussia Dortmund dislike Jurgen now.

And when I do say, Liverpool fans do not hate Klopp, the Germans said, in England have any clubs have a owner. But they do not knows: English clubs has always a owner.

Too many people go around hating other people because they don’t like what they did.
Really, hate should be reserved for people who do evil, not for people who work for a football club you don’t like.
