Liverpool FC - Pre-season (Part 2)

It seems we are very flexible when it comes to stepping in for an initial test.

Doesn’t sound very organised at Vauxhall Motor FC.

I think it’s good for us—inquiries were sent out on short notice, and we’re saying yes. That’s certainly an initial challenge right there.

We’ve all had issues with mold at some time or another. Anti-fungal spray should do the trick.

Even for pre-season that’s a bizarre squad!

1 GK, 3 CBs, 1 RB, 1 LB, 6 CMs

Tuchel would think it was a bit too attacking - less than 6 defenders

Presumably it’s even more impacted than normal with the better U21s spending their time training with the first team rather than playing in these games

I’m guessing they would have had someone like Sonni-Lambie, who has been with the first team, go and play in this but probably due to the quick turnaround in setting up the game they just went with the lads they had at the time.

I’m happy for the two Joshes to get their wheels under them in the first team rather than risk a full on game this early. It would be great for them to go to the US along with Will Wright. Might be too early for Danns though.
Lads looking really sharp on the grass today with the ball. The intensity was impressive and such a change from Slot. Everyone out to impress the gaffer and it’s a good opportunity with so many first teamers still missing. Just a bit disappointing to see Leoni, and Bradders still confined to the gym along with Stef, who AI says he is getting close to training. Leoni has filled out a lot and is a really imposingly big lad now.
Morrison, Elliot and Milos looked sharp, as did Curtis tbf. Fascinating to watch the two Joshes and Abe is rapid! Jacquet really is a tall lad isn’t he and a lovely mover. Fast.
Good to see Kostas too. I always liked him for the effort and crossing.
