That doesn’t surprise me if true.
I feel like the greatest chance for him is to become basically a backup RW here, able to do a job at RB in certain games and situations when we go more offensive.

Yeah, if they can find a way to use him like Alonso did at Leverkusen, I think it could work. Basically put him in situations where he doesn’t receive the ball too deep and has too much ball carrying to do.
Of course he can beat his man on the outside in certain situations, but for me the key to make him an effective winger is to have him running into the open spaces.
I’d been wondering if that was the way they were going to go with him. He’s essentially seen as a winger who can play RB in a pinch instead of Gomez, Szobo or Jones.
Would mean we need just one more winger this summer and a right back instead of two forward options. Means Chiesa can go and Gakpo is splitting time between LW and CF until Ekitike is back.

I think it´s not a good thing for him
We don´t see him as good enough for RB and probably not be the starting RW so essentially he´s seen as some cover.

It makes me sad to see Hugo like this, but I still think it’s great that he’s here. His teammates are taking great care of him; there’s always someone on hand (if necessary) to carry his crutches, bag, and so on. It’s excellent for team building that everyone is here this time imo.

That Jacket is pretty rapid and he won’t be hoofing the ball clear as he has bags of skill to get out of a press. I was wondering why we paid so much for him but I’m beginning to think he is a bargain as was Virgil many moons ago.

Bajetic seems to be wearing the gear all the lads who are training are wearing. Assume Leoni is doing ball work away from the team and thus a slightly different training kit.
